BMW M6 Bike Rack – The SeaSucker Talon

James is a keen rider who also competes in the Enduro/Gravity Enduro race. His love for riding goes back 25 years. In the mid-1990s he was a professional triathlete before taking up mountain bike riding 5 years ago. During winter he spends most of his time at Mt. Buller. He also races BMW’s competitively on the track. His current car, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe with over 600HP and a neck-snapping 0 to 100 km in 3 seconds is his daily driver.

James contacted us looking for a bike rack for his M6. His first concern was the carbon fibre roof, for SeaSucker Bike racks this is no issue. They work on glass, steel and carbon fibre. As his bike uses a 15 mm through axle front wheel we recommended he also purchase the Seasucker 15 mm through axle fork mount.

Mounting Location

This is an interesting example for a roof mounted SeaSucker Talon. Firstly, the BMW M6 has a carbon fibre roof. Subsequently, this is a great surface for mounting the SeaSucker Talon. Whilst we always recommend mounting the bike rack mainboard and rear wheel strap nearest the roof folds, this car has an additional roof fold nearest the centre.
