The Ford Territory presents a unique set of challenges. The corrugated roof line leaves no flat area to attached a vacuum mount.  The Talon Bike Rack fits easily on the rear glass. You can mount the rear wheel strap on:

1. Either side of the number plate; or

2. The area below the “TERRITORY” or the “GHIA” badges.

The rear window on the Toyota Land Cruiser provides several options for mounting your bike. In this scenario, we have mounted the Talon Bike Rack on the rear glass and the rear wheel strap on the bumper bar. The rear wheel strap prevents the bike’s rear wheel from sliding left and right.

Super, thank you so much, and thank you for the specific advice on placement! May I ask a mostly-unrelated question? Do you know why the Talon is asymmetric? Does the fact that it’s asymmetric favor certain placements over others? (Also: does your advice about mounting on the left side still hold, given that our driver sits on the left, not the right?) Again, thanks so much for your assistance and advice!

Thanks for this very helpful entry. Do you have an example showing the Talon mounted to the rear glass of a Chrysler Pacifica hybrid minivan? Also, I feel a little foolish asking, since you show examples, but is the glass really strong enough to bear the load, especially with the load pulling outwards?

    1. Hi,
      Apologies for the late reply.
As we are based in Australia the Chrysler Pacifica hybrid minivan isn’t a car available here.
Having said this, we did check out the car using photos available online.
We can’t see any issues mounting a SeaSuycker Talon on a Chrysler Pacifica hybrid minivan and would either mount the bike rack on the roof placing the main board on the left-hand side of your car partially on the roof and on the windscreen as shown on the retail box.
Alternatively, you could mount the bike rack on the back window placing the mainboard as high up on the back window as possible. This mounting location may not work for everyone as it is dependent on the overall length of your bike and the amount of clearance under the back wheel.
I hope this makes sense, please let me know if you have any further questions.

      Thanks,
      Chris
