The Allstar Plastics Story
Allstar Plastics specializes in the manufacture of indoor, outdoor and marine plastic products. Materials used include Acrylic, Perspex, Plexiglas, Polyethylene, ABS and HPDE to name a few. Their services include: plastic fabrication; laser & router cutting; thermoforming, plastic welding and engraving. They have over 20 years of industry experience backed by a talented design team.
Innovating the fabricated illuminated vehicle sign
Allstar Plastics wanted to improve the mounting system for their Vehicle Topper Advertising Portfolio. The product in mind was the fabricated illuminated vehicle signs for fast food restaurants.
Each home delivery staff member provides their own vehicle. Thus they needed a way to:
- Secure and remove the sign in seconds;
- Ensure operation in safe weather and driving conditions; and
- Leave no marks behind when removed.
They prototyped their illuminated signs using the SeaSucker 114 mm black vacuum mount. The prototype confirmed two SeaSucker vacuum mounts with a combined pull rating of 90 kg would meet their customer’s needs.
The first major production run using SeaSucker vacuum mounts
By early November the next major production of illuminated vehicle signs received customer approval. Within three weeks Allstar Plastics had everything they needed to complete their manufacturing process. Throughout the process, the team at Gear Campus provided regular customer updates.
