HUSKE Universal Fork Mount
New Product – SeaSucker HUSKE Universal Fork Mount
Over the years’ bike manufacturers have introduced new front wheel standards. The two most popular are the Quick-Release and Thru-Axle front wheels. Consequently, the Quick-Release front wheel uses a lever and skewer. This will pass through a hollow axle. Furthermore, bikes that have this also have “Drop Out” style front forks.
A Thru-Axle front wheel uses a removable axle. The axle diameter can be 9 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm. The width between the fork also varies. This creates a challenge when using a Fork Mounted Bike Rack. As a result, SeaSucker developed the HUSKE Universal Fork Mount.
So what’s HUSKE? It’s an acronym for “Hub Standards Keep Evolving”. The HUSKE Universal Fork Mount Base was designed to allow various plugs to be inserted. As a result, the HUSKE Universal Fork Mount Base can transport bikes with the following front wheels
- 9 mm x 100 mm Quick-Release
- 12 mm x 100 mm Thru-Axle
- 15 mm x 100 mm Thru-Axle
- 15 mm x 110 mm Thru-Axle
These are the four most popular front wheel configurationst. Depending on the demand SeaSucker will introduce additional plug kits to accommodate other front wheel configurations.
