Kallen has been cycling for a long time, he was a Pro Road Cyclist in South Africa before moving to  Europe for two seasons. Subsequently, Kallen stopped racing to study Optometry and recently started working in Australia. Kallen started racing again this year, on a mountain bike with his first big race being the XCO in Pemberton. As a result, Kallen was in the market for a VW Polo GTI Bike Rack.

Kallen contacted us to discuss his requirements. His VW Polo GTI has a Panoramic Roof and he needed to carry two bikes. Furthermore, he needed the ability to carry bikes with 9 mm x 100 mm Quick-Release, 15 mm x 100 mm and 15 mm x 110 mm Through-Axle front wheels. As a result, we recommended the 2019 SeaSucker Mini Bomber 2-Bike Rack with the HUSKE Universal Fork Mounts. In addition to this, we also recommended the appropriate Through-Axle Plugs.

Several weeks later Kallen sent us these photos along with his feedback “I’m happy with the product, I think there is one or two areas when it could be improved (safety from theft mainly), but overall I am super happy with it. It seems to turn heads too.”  

In terms of theft prevention, SeaSucker introduced the Cable Anchor – Window enabling the installation of a cable lock between the Anchor Point and the Bike Rack. Furthermore, we will follow up with Kallen regarding his idea to improve safety from theft
