We hinted at this product in our Custom Tablet Cradle For Toyota Hilux post. After further testing, we are proud to launch the newest Tablet Cradle Mount. The Tablet Cradle Mount – Extreme Reach Off-Road Edition is a purpose-built tablet mounting solution. It’s capable of securing your tablet directly in front of your car’s centre console or infotainment screen. What makes this kit so special? It has incredible reach, up to 495 mm of adjustable reach. Furthermore, the Tablet Cradle Mount – Extreme Reach Off-Road Edition can lower the height of your tablet preventing any viewing obstruction from the tablet.
Since launching the Tablet Cradle Mount – Extreme Edition customers have contacted us looking for a tablet cradle mount solution that can hold a tablet in front of the center infotainment screen. Typically, most cars have an infotainment screen in the center console for controlling the radio, air conditioning, etc. Initially, the requests were met with skepticism. Our main concern was whether we could design a solution that does not impede your view whilst driving whilst also minimizing vibration. After examining various customer’s cars we quickly came up with s solution capable of meeting the customer’s needs.
The Tablet Cradle Mount – Extreme Reach Off-Road Edition has the longest reach when compared to our other kits. Its’ reach can be changed by selecting the appropriate Secondary Arm. The RAM-230U Double Ball Adapter connects the two arms together whilst also providing the ability to raise or lower the height of your tablet when mounted in the car.
With up to 495 mm of reach how did we minimise vibration? In order to minimize reach over such a great distance a second point of contact is required. With the SeaSucker 114 mm Vacuum Mount acting as the first point of contact, we rested the primary arm on the dash once installed. To further minimize vibration we also included a stick-on foam strip that sits between the Primary Arm and your dashboard.
