The SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder

The SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder is a very popular rod holder. What makes this rod holder so popular? Why does it look so strange compared to most rod holders in the market? In this post, we take a closer look at the SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder and examine its benefits.

Fishing rod holder storage is a challenge especially when travelling. As an example, finding a safe place to store your fishing rods whilst driving can present issues. The SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder solves this problem by attaching to most verticals surfaces enabling you to store up to 6 fishing rods securely. It does this by taking advantage of the vertical space on the boat’s inner gunnel. Furthermore, the fishing rods are locked into place and neatly separated by virtue of its design and a Velcro strap is used to ensure they stay secure. It’s a very compact design, with an overall height of 90 mm the SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder takes up minimal space in the boat’s cockpit.

Horizontal Rod Holder – Haines Hunter 560F

We tested the SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder in our company demo boat, the Haines Hunter 560F. Utilising the starboard inner gunnel we attached the two-rod holder mounts onto the fibreglass in seconds.  Be sure to clean both surfaces prior to installation using freshwater. Each vacuum mount has 45 kg direct pull strength capacity and can carry up to 18 kg ensuring your fishing rods stay safe.

The SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder can easily transport up to 6 fishing rods with no fishing reels installed. If fishing reels are installed the SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder can transport up to 4 fishing rods as shown in the photo below.

The SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder is great for transporting and storing fishing rods. It’s a convenient way to store fishing rods in your boat and also prevents your fishing rods from being trampled on. Whilst the vacuum mounts are not a permanent solution, they will lose vacuum over many days they can be left permanently installed. An orange indicator band on the vacuum mount’s inbuilt pump is displayed when partial vacuum is lost, just give the vacuum mount a few pumps to return it to maximum vacuum.

We put the SeaSucker Horizontal Rod Holder to the test recently deploying the product on a recent fishing trip. It’s a great option for expanding boat road holder storage as you don’t have to drill any holes and can be used on almost any boat or car for that fact. It’s extremely quick and easy to use and protrudes out by 90 mm when mounted
